What is the difference between a Joomla template and the quickstart package !?

To help novice users with configuration of CMS - we provide packages called QuickStart. A quickstart is basically a fully functional and customized Joomla! package containing module, choosen template and plugins with all the configurations and data in one place. The sample data in the quickstart package is also personalised according to the template and is much different to the sample data found in the default Joomla package.

How to install Quickstart ?!

Installing Joomla is simple, the more that almost every book you will find a whole chapter about it. In fact you might have already installed one or more Joomla! before, but a quick read through will help to clarify the process and help you better understand this popular CMS.

• Open folder jl2.5-template_name-unzip-first/quickstart and copy file: quickstart_J!25.zip to your computer. You don't have to unzip right now, you can always use Akeeba Kickstart straightway on your server.
  
  
• Installing Joomla is as simple as placing the (unzipped) files in the web directory, copying a settings .php file, and then navigating to the Joomla domain URL. Uploading all Joomla! files takes some time, so grab a cup of coffee or use Akeeba Kickstart script to unzip file in few moments.
  
  
• CMS will automatically detect that you are installing a new site and run Installation process.
  
  
• Joomla’s installation automates as much of the process as possible and automatic will install our Sample Data.  The installer will load the data into  your MySQL database and change the  display. The data is the most important thing in your installation. If you don’t install the our sample data, your Joomla installation starts off blank, and your webpage will be almost empty. Loading the sample data should help you understand the structure of a our template by playing around with the various management modules.
